From Postpalast to Google campus

The Postpalast was built 1923–1925 as a monumental administrative building of the Reichspost in brick expressionism — by the architects Robert Vorhoelzer and Walther Schmidt, with its characteristic prominent corner tower. After decades of postal use, the building was comprehensively renovated between 2018 and 2023.

Since 2023 it has been Google's new Munich headquarters: around 1,500 employees, one of Google's largest sites in Europe. Focuses: privacy engineering, security and AI research. The campus is known internally as "Arnulfpost"; together with Apple, Microsoft and many medium-sized firms, it makes Marsfeld the city's tech district.
