Privacy
Policy
No tracking, no marketing cookies, no profiling. What we nonetheless process — and what your rights are under the GDPR.

We process your data exclusively on the basis of statutory provisions (GDPR, German Federal Data Protection Act BDSG, Digital Services Act DDG). Hosting & server logs
When this website is accessed, so-called server log files are automatically captured by the hosting provider. These contain:
- IP address of the requesting computer (shortened/anonymised)
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the requested file
- Browser and operating system used
- Referrer URL
Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest) to ensure smooth operation and to defend against attacks. The logs are deleted or anonymised after a maximum of 7 days.
Google Fonts
This website uses fonts ("Google Fonts") from the provider Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When the page is accessed, the fonts Archivo Black, Inter, Space Grotesk and Space Mono are loaded from Google servers. Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in attractive presentation). For more information see policies.google.com/privacy. Should you prefer a local integration without server calls to Google, please let us know — switching is possible.
Interactive map (Leaflet · CartoDB · OpenStreetMap)
The page Quarter (viertel.html) embeds an interactive map of the Maxvorstadt that loads the following external resources:
- Leaflet — JavaScript library by Volodymyr Agafonkin Limited, loaded via the content delivery network unpkg.com (npm, Inc., 22 Cortlandt Street, New York, NY 10007, USA).
- Map tiles — provided by CARTO (Carto DB Inc., 75 Broad Street, Suite 504, New York, NY 10004, USA) via basemaps.cartocdn.com. The style used is "CartoDB Positron".
- Geographic data — from OpenStreetMap, an open mapping data project, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Maintained by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.
- Marker clustering — the Leaflet.markercluster extension is also loaded via unpkg.com.
When the map is loaded, technically necessary data (in particular your IP address, browser identifier and timestamp) is transmitted to the respective servers in order to load the libraries and map tiles. No such data is stored by us; we have no control over processing by the named providers.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in an informative, geographically anchored presentation of the Maxvorstadt). If you do not wish to load the map, please do not visit the Quarter page — the other pages of the website work without the map integration. A fully self-hosted variant with our own tile server is technically possible; please let us know if you would prefer this.
