48 pages, 20 × 20 cm, 18 chapters: Maxvorstadt Vibes condensed into a book — read and download the PDF here. German edition.
Munich's first planned quarter, drawn up on the drawing board in 1812, is three things at once today: one of the world's densest museum regions, Germany's most important science hub with the country's No. 1 and No. 2 universities — and the place where National Socialism set up its "Capital of the Movement". In between: student pubs, galleries, beer cellars, a three-star restaurant and the country's second most expensive housing market.
The book tells this quarter in 18 chapters and four parts — typographic, in the style of the website, with 29 black-and-white photographs, maps and infographics. QR codes on every chapter page link to the matching page on maxvorstadtvibes.de; the four walks connect to the website's maps and PDF guides.
